i'm sorry. i haven't been keeping up here. gee, its hard to blog. this is a fire glow my cousin just got. i passed by it this morning and noticed this teardrop sap. at first i thought it was water but til now, its hanging there.

much time and love were committed to these invitations. as with most projects, there were brainstorms, prototypes, trial and errors, rejects, and quite a number of adjustments to make this final piece. there were also signs and thoughts of failure. with that said and all those factors recognized, i am very happy this turned out to be a success!
this was also our first time using the Gocco printer, which i love so very much! thank you Japanese people for being so smart and creative! the fine details in the gazebo and the definition in the text would not have been so well produced without using this machine. what a great investment!
these invitations have now reached Bryan, Texas..where they will be sealed with love and sent out to family and friends. i hope the love will be spread.
now onto bigger and better things aka the letterpress machine!!! mm mm mm!

one thing that peeves me is junk - and by no means should that be translated to thrift finds, trash art, or unusable fixtures/collectibles - but just plain junk. and here is what we find..stuff from over 20 years ago laying around, occupying valuable space, and collecting mold. ugh.

theres something about this wheeled cart thing, whatever it is, that gives me a reminiscent feeling. i dont even recall any memories regarding something like this so its very strange that this happens. maybe its the texture and color or shape. i wonder...

the light on this day was just so so soo beautiful - making the most mundane things so pleasant and calming.
